Astronomy Magazine Reader Gallery March 2010, page 70

IC 1795 is an extnesion of the larger Heart Nebula, IC 1805, in Cassiopeia at RA 2 hr 26.5 min and DEC +62 deg 4 min, with an apparent diameter of 20 arc min. The image is ~40'x40' and north is to the upper right.  This is a narrowband image using the Hubble Palette for color mapping, where blue = OIII, green - H-a and red = SII.  Red, green and blue data were also blended in.  Astrodon 3 nm narrowbands and Generation 2 RGB 50 mm square filters were used with the KAF16803 sensor in the Apogee camera.

The systems was guided with an SBIG ST-402 ccd camera on an Astrodon MonsterMoag off-axis guider.  Data were acquired automatically with CCDAutoPilot4 running MaximDL4.62 using PinPointPro for plate solving.  Data were calibrated, registered and initially processed in CCDStack.  Final process was completed in Photoshop CS3.
